Rubber Duck thought it would be a nice day to paddle down the Essex River and back.
Ten minutes before Rubber Duck gets to go the Stand Up Paddlers are moving to the starting line.
Several times during the race I heard from the shore, “Hey, there goes Rubber Duck from Good Morning Gloucester!”
Beautiful day for a paddle and I got out of my kayak without falling in the water. Bonus.

Paul- It was so cool seeing you and Rubber Duck this morning. I was standing at Conomo Point and someone beside me had just asked if I knew anyone in the race and I said, “Nah, I just like to come down and cheer everyone on,” and just then you paddled by! Looking fierce by the way.

I think Lois may be talking about RD. She was facing a head wind and an incoming tide at Conomo Point.

Were you the one taking photos? If so, send them in. It was great getting comments yelled out to me while out there paddling with only a bath toy to talk to.

“Only” a bath toy? Hope RD didn’t hear that.

Is that a training run for the Blackburn Challenge? How far is it? How many entrants?

Sort of, 6 plus miles, the boat numbers go up to 246. Race results at link. I’ll post a round up.
