Anybody know the origins of this massive timber on Good Harbor Beach, unearthed when the last storm scoured away more sand than usual near the high tide mark?
A shipwreck? If so, what ship?

I know back in the 1950’s we would have enough boards, logs, and miscellaneous debris wash up in Wonson Cove to build rafts, huts, and various other creations on a weekly basis. The cleaner harbor has taken some of those gifts away. It could be very difficult to identify the origin of this particular log.
