Here is the hand carved cribbage board that Rob Foley’s grandfather made and inserted the carved haddock napes in the shape of a whale and two dolphins.

I stopped by “the Grind” last weekend while in Lanesville. What a find this little joint is!
Plum Cove Grind is to Lanesville what Last Stop Variety is to East Gloucester. I had one of the most delicious sandwiches I’ve ever eaten from here. It was a tuna sandwich but it also had (I think) candied walnuts and cranberries) not sure what else was in the sandwich but it was excellent! I mean EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!
You just gotta try it. It’s worth the ride.

We cleared the first step with the liquor licensing board last night with a 3-0 yes vote pending City Counsel giving their blessing.
If approved by City Counsel it will include another block, from Pleasant Street intersection down through the West End.
We will have 5 different slideshow/movies. Dun, and Jim B will be featured along with the work of Mark Teiwes, and a presentation by Chad Carlberg from Bait and Tackle Productions. (I may have a short movie in there as well)
I’ll let you know more as the info comes in.
Anyone know the history behind this shack at Lane’s Cove? I’d love for someone to do a guest post detailing it’s history here.

There’s been a bunch of squid mixed in with the bait fish lately. They’re delicious fried up.
