Happiness is art for Naomi Lee ~ See her work at Cape Ann Coffees through the end of December 2016
Artist Naomi Lee, of Gloucester Massachusetts, found a new way of
self expression, taking nature’s gifts and turning them into art.
Naomi, usually, tries for perfection by taking many photos of natural subjects she sees, whether landscapes, seascapes, sun and moon rises and sets, over land or sea and, of course, sea gulls. Naomi studies the ever changing light and shadows and when she’s ready, puts the image on canvas.
Naomi’s inspiration of self expression does indeed come from nature’s gifts.
Naomi says, “It is all in the eyes of an artist.”
Driftwood, fishing line, gill net, fishermen’s knotted ropes, shells, sea glass or anything else she finds on a beach or rocky coast is what she turns into art.
Naomi has created art with branches, bark and twigs from her own backyard. Some of these elements are added to existing paintings to further express the feeling of the work.

Call ahead for the best subs of summer. Gloucester beaches sandwich directory.
Hungry? Pack light. You’ll pass great sandwich shops, locally owned and operated, en route to Gloucester’s magnificent beaches. Jeff’s Variety can set you up for a good lunch to go wherever you’re headed including Good Harbor Beach, Long Beach, or the back shore. Jeff says that there are many repeat customers that come back each and every season–for years–on their way to Good Harbor Beach. IF you have a big group, you can order trays with finger sandwiches. Sandwich platters featuring Virgilio’s rolls need at least two days notice to prepare. They’re open Sundays. What else? “Yes!” the answer to my question if they have plenty of call ahead requests from cars caught in traffic. Passengers calling only, please!

Naomi Lee was called and offered an opportunity to show her art for the second time at Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester, MA, through the end of July.
Naomi says she is so happy to be able to share her feelings on canvas. Her passions, the warmth of the sun, the calm of the moon, respect for the strength of the wind and the power of the sea.
