Volunteers Needed
for the
Gloucester Public School
Downtown Arts Festival
Saturday, May 9 8:30 – 5:30pm
We need 48 volunteers, people can do shifts of 2 hours, half day or full day, whichever works best for them. We need people at City Hall, Cape Ann Museum, Sawyer Free Library and Art Haven throughout the festival to let the public know what performance is happening next, where events are located, etc.
Anyone interested may contact me at:BrendaMalloyster@gmail.com or 978-282-1346
This is a community event, all are invited and we would appreciate volunteers!
Thanks! Enjoy the good moments of your day!
Brenda
Happy Day!- That’s the standard Brenda Malloy greeting.

In addition there is, like I mentioned above, artwork plastered all over Main St (or will be by mid afternoon today).
Perhaps you’d like to do a few shots of that. We art starting at Sage Florist down near Dunkin Donuts and will be in almost every business window down to Virgilio’s. Bank Gloucester is going to get covered head to toe in the parking lot lobby entrance as well as Main St and Pleasant St. corner windows. Vernon Martin Real Estate down near Dunkin Donuts will have a ton of work in their windows as well.
We are looking for as much coverage as we can get, really trying to get the whole community involved, not just the students parents and families, any help would be appreciated.”

Brenda Malloy is a huge positive voice in our community and an all around good egg. Here is one of her pieces at Passports. It rocks!

Hello Joey and Happy Day~
if your interested in passing this blurb along, I’d appreciate it:
The Rocky Neck Art Colony Winter Stroll was such an overwhelming success last weekend that the artists wanted to spread the word that they will all be open from the 19th through the 24th. Most will be open from at least noon until 4pm, except for Xmas eve day, some may close earlier.
With handmade offerings of a wonderful variety of fine paintings, jewelry, pottery, glass ornaments and mobile’s, scarves, greeting cards and much, much, more, many at discounted prices, people are sure to be pleased.
The following galleries will be open:
Elynn Kroger Gallery, Karen Ristuben Gallery, Side Street Gallery, Sigrid Olson Gallery, Goetteman Gallery, John Nesta Gallery and Brenda Malloy’s IMAGINE gallery.
Hope to see you there to join in our festive fair and to experience some of the wonderful art of Rocky Neck. For more information call 978-282-1346. Thanks!

You’re rich Brenda. Just like those Jamaican kids I was telling you about! The kind of rich that doesn’t come from material possessions.

I’m pretty sure that Brenda Malloy, the owner of Imagine on Rocky Neck spoke at the Mayor’s Harbor Listening Post meeting in East Gloucester.
She spoke about how she loves that Gloucester is not like every other seaside community and that she likes Gloucester’s ‘Funkiness”
Well Brenda inspired me to start a series entitled “You Can’t Fake The Funk” and her joint will be the first place featured in the series.
Brenda’s sells handmade Greeting Cards, Jewelry, Art, Nautical and Decorative Items at her funky one of a kind shop on Rocky Neck on the opposite corner from where Bertha’s penny candy store used to be.
