Finn and I made a point to stop by the Antique Car Show on the Meetinghouse Green this past Saturday. Unfortunately, we were there at the very beginning and couldn’t stay terribly long so I know we missed several of the beautiful cars that arrived after we departed, but the cars we saw were pretty sweet.

We recently re-visited the Crane Estate to see how it looks wrapped up in autumn. We were not disappointed. There’s a charge to get in, but it’s such a treat for the eyes we didn’t mind paying money to go toward maintaining that for a everyone.
Fall is Vata season…think dry, cold, light, rough, sharp and mobil. Similar to the weather and it is a time when many show signs of Vata aggravation keeping us busy at Ayurveda Wellness Healing, LLC!
Signs of Imbalance include:
Anxiety, nervousness, loneliness, fear, restlessness, giddiness and confusion. The excess vata in the mind can also leave you feeling like you can’t calm down or on edge. Your mind may race, have interrupted sleep, forgetfulness and lack of grounding. It left unchecked, it can lead to insomnia and depression to name a few.
Physical signs include:
Twitches, tics, tremors, spasms, dry skin, constipation, bloating, gas, dry hard stools. You may dislike wind and cold and not tolerate loud noise.
A few tips:
Eat:
Warm, whole, freshly cooked foods.
Add a generous amount of high-quality oils or ghee when cooking.
Avoid:
Dry and light foods (popcorn, crackers)

The Science Channel was filming an episode about the Vikings today. The show features the ship Polaris, a reconstruction of an original Viking coastal fishing vessel. Polaris is docked at Maritime Gloucester.
Viking Ship Drops Anchor in Massachusetts

ESSEX, Mass. (AP) — Cape Ann’s fleet of vintage row and sail vessels has a new addition, one that hearkens back to mists of Viking heritage forged in the fjords of western Norway.
The Polaris, a 37-foot reconstruction of an original Viking coastal fishing vessel dating to 1030 A.D., has made its way across country to the Essex Shipbuilding Museum from its birthing boat yard on Fidalgo Bay in Anacortes, Washington.
The plan, according to owner Stuart Boyd, is to berth the Polaris this summer at Maritime Gloucester, where it will be available from early June on for short public rowing trips, private charters and corporate team-building outings throughout the inshore waters of Cape Ann.
“We want to be an inspiration for small groups working together and having fun at the same time,” said Boyd, whose company is named Norsvald after the ancient Norse word for “power from within.”

GLOUCESTER –The City is pleased to announce the launch of its Community Electricity Aggregation (CEA) program,designed to provide an opportunity to reduce and stabilize the cost of electricity for residents and businesses, and to promote the utilization of locally generated renewable energy. By purchasing bulk electricity from an alternative supplier, the City is able to provide a more cost-effective, stable, and responsible alternative to utility electricity rates for participating consumers.Gloucester’s CEA program is the result of a multi-year collaborative effort, which has been carefully considered. Gloucester and more than 60 other Massachusetts municipalities are taking advantage of state enabled aggregation programs.
