1606 Restaurant and Bar has exciting news! With a new menu to share, and a new Executive Chef to meet – they will be beginning takeout services starting May 14th! Enjoy upscale versions of New England classics and family-style meals, to be (soon) served on the Beauport deck – but until then, you can savor at home!
Takeout service will be offered every Wednesday through Sunday, 5-8pm. VIEW TAKEOUT MENU and call 978-491-5090 to place your order.

COVID Cancellations from Thacher Island Association
I think it’s going to be the summer of dashed hopes….
Recently posted to the Thacher Island Facebook page:
The Thacher Island Association has made the difficult decision to close BOTH Straitsmouth and Thacher Islands to visitors for the 2020 season.
Kayaks and other types of watercraft will not be allowed to land, and visitors will not be permitted to explore the islands.
The Thacher and Straitsmouth launch service is being suspended for the entire season.
The 2020 Lighthouse Cruise has been cancelled.
The Thacher Island Association is already planning to welcome you back to the islands in 2021 and we hope to see you then. In the meantime, please enjoy the videos and historic photos on our website, and have a safe and healthy summer.

Starting on May 14th, Seaport Grille will be offering takeout service, kicking it off with $15 Lobster Roll Thursdays! Takeout service will be available from 12-8pm Thursday through Sunday of this week, and than DAILY TAKEOUT SERVICE will begin Wednesday, May 20th – right up until they can reopen!
