It’s gonna be a Bang Bang Weekend for the Bandit Kings

This band is a whole lotta fun. Always mixing it up with new songs. They have many originals to enjoy and their stage presence is very entertaining as well. If you can sit still I will be totally amazed. Plus if you do not get enough of them  at one gig there is always the other and perchance, take a trip over the bridge to get out of Dodge, so to speak.

This Weekend At The Liu

Thursday Night Blues Jam at the Rhumb Line To Host Ed Scheer and Mario Perrett

A few words from Dave,

This thursday at the Rhumb Line features  the Batman and Robin of the music world: that dynamic duo of Ed “Ed” Scheer and Mario Perrett. Eddie, being one of our favorite drumblers and focalists gotta drag out our buddy Mario, movie star ,and cutie-pie saxist, for a cruize around the block every once in a while. So, the \world will come to a screeching halt upon the stage  as we tie up the hands of time, and make it scream uncle. Rheum-er has it that there will be a plentitude of sit-ins and  spit-ups. You won’t wanna miss it.
And then Sunday, Mark Earley Productions® is proud to present….me. Once again , Mark is forcing me to play with some incredible Jazz musicians at THE STONE SOUP in IPSWICH. From 5 to 8 p.m. I’ll be cranking it out with such immortals as  John Hyde, on keys, Jim Gwin, Fred’s brother, on skins, Tom Palance, Jack’s brother, on trumpet, and  Mark Earley on saxes . Should be a hoot. Free bibs for every fan if you make it past the first set. Food is pretty good, too ,I hear .

Monday, May 2 – Jalapenos Benefit Featuring LIVE MUSIC by ColdStream

Hi Joey,

My husband and I subscribe to Good Morning Gloucester – it has really helped us get acclimated to the area. Thank you! Love your pics and updates.

I am a repeat Breast Cancer 3 Day walker – I have walked the 60 miles in Boston in July of 2009 & 10 and I am now preparing for the July 2011 walk. I will be doing a benefit at Jalapenos on Monday evening, May 2. We will have live music from 6:30-9 pm by ColdStream. I was wondering if you might add this event to your live music section? As you probably know, Jalapenos donates 10% of their proceeds from these benefits, which is very generous!

Monday, May 2 – Jalapenos Benefit Featuring LIVE MUSIC by ColdStream – a 4 piece acoustic band made up of 2 guitarists, a bass player and a mandolin player. They specialize in three and four part harmonies. Their music ranges from soft rock to pop, soul, Irish, Americana, country, English folk and classic rock. They are a staple in the southern New Hampshire restaurant circuit playing to warm receptions everywhere. 6:30 – 9 pm

Thanks for any shout out you can provide. If you have other promotional ideas, please let me know!

Best,
Liz Dooley

This band has been touring all over the map. Just recently being signed on with Hillgrass Blue billy Records They made an appearnce in Somerville  at The Rosebud Diner last weekend along with four other bands,   Tokyo Tramps, Ray Cashman, Pork Chop Willie, and Kent Burnside. It was one of the most liveliest shows I have ever been to. Hopefuly you can make it over the bridge to check them out. If you love to dance they make it very easy with their upbeat Mississippi Delta Rockabilly style music. When ever, where ever, if I can make it I am so there. Blues like I like it.

Hey everyone,

The Topside Grill is finally opening for the season this Friday! We hope everyone had a great winter (stupid snow!), and are now ready for Spring and warm weather. We have completely renovated our entire dinning room this year and can’t wait for everyone to see it! We are expecting a great weekend so we are encouraging people to make reservations for best seating during dinner hours 🙂 hope to see you all there!

We are also featuring new photography by Judith Montferrante and the Good Morning Gloucester photographers all around the restaurant! We also have John Jerome playing Friday night in the bar/lounge/pub. Also, launching my brand new Spring cocktail menu which I am very excited about (new drinks, wine, and beer). See you this weekend!!!
