Can’t get enough of Cape Ann From Ann Kennedy

I’m going to have a camera-free day…sometime before we leave.  Until then, here is Rockport Harbor and the view from the Headlands in the very early a.m.  So much to see and do, so little time!

Dawn Walk, Old Garden Beach From Ann Kennedy

Hey Joey

It has been awhile since we’ve passed along a heads up on photos/updates from the Blue Shutters, but we wanted to make sure you saw what we just posted on the Blue Shutters blog – some spectacular shots of the Eurodam taken from the Dogbar as the ship left the harbor.

There are also some photos of Sunday’s road race that ended by the Good Harbor Beach footbridge.

Here’s a link to the blog – hopefully you can use these.  Let us know if you need anything more from us on this.

Found an article at Main Street Arts and Antiques  in “American Boy” published  in June 1917 that would be useful to our Red Sox team of 2012.,.

You must have a ton of these by now, but I did post this one on my twitter, saying if you didn’t go to Gloucester today, this is what you missed!  I had a great day in Gtown.  Went to Rocky Neck and saw EJ, bought olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Cape Ann Olive Oil Co., had lunch at Lobstaland.  It is sooo wonderful to play tourist in the hometown.  How much did these ocean travelers pay to get to Gloucester?  Genie

Parish picnic fun and games 1

From the Holy Family Parish Picnic last weekend.

Game organizer “Uncle Tony” asks: can you keep a hula hoop going while patting your head and rubbing your tummy?

The answer: yes!

Holy Family Parish Picnic

Last weekend, Holy Family parish had it’s annual outdoor Mass and picnic at Stage Fort Park.  I didn’t get any photos of the outdoor Mass, because I consider it inappropriate (at best) to pull out a camera and take photos while wearing liturgical vestments and concelebrating the service. However, I got some nice photos of the fun that came afterwards.  As I am going away on vacation for a week, I will post shots of the different activities in a series of posts.

Today: the men of our local Knights of Columbus cooking and serving a tasty meal!

Hi Joey,

Here are some photos of the Fish Box Derby registration and weigh-in held last Sunday morning at C. B. Fisk.  The race will be this Sunday, Sep. 16th, at High Noon on the Rogers St. Hill.  We encourage everyone to come out there Sunday and cheer these fantastic kids on – the Thrill of the Hill is at its best with a great audience!

Gratefully,

2012-09-11 Mayor’s Race from Caleb Clapp

Hi Joey

It’s a small world that you almost bought the house we’re buying on Island Rock Lane…once we get rid of the big ugly deck, we’ll have you over for a wine, or more…

It was nice to meet you and eat your 10 lobsters on Saturday!  They were delicious!!

I’ve attached a few full-sail shots of the Mayor’s Cup.  Use what you like.

Take care
