Generous Gardeners Announces a Dahlia Flower and Photography Competition

Generous Gardeners is hosting our first Dahlia Flower and Photography Competition to be held September 30 at Bass Rocks Golf Club, Gloucester. Specimen dahlias in a variety of categories and photographs of dahlias are sought for competition entries. The display will be free and open to the public from 11:00 – 2:00. Vote for your favorite for the People’s Choice Award.

There are four categories of dahlia flowers and three categories of dahlia photographs.  Each category is limited to 15 submissions, so if you would like to compete, please register soon.  Each participant is limited to two entries.

Salty Kids, Update

Received some information on these cuties, their names are Margaret Danger, love the middle name and Calypso.  Love the fact that these kids are so confident on their schooners.  These kids were on the Alert.

The amazing Gloucester Schooner Festival

Oh what a weekend.  Schooners were amazing and so calming.  The weather was totally cooperating with sunshine.  Would like to thank the Gloucester Schooner Festival’s Committee for all the hard work and organization.

On Sunday, Rick and I went on the King Eider for the Schooner parade of sails.  Beautiful day and great time.

 

Sailing on Gloucester Schooner Adventure

What an amazing sail on Friday afternoon on The Adventure.  It was incredible and amazing.  The phots only tell a small story of the beauty of the schooners.  Can not wait to for the rest of the weekend.  Thank you to the crew, volunteers and Captain Christa Miller for a great sail.

Music on the Meetinghouse Green

What Time is it, Mr. Fox?’ this Friday!!!

 

Music on Meetinghouse Green presents a free, outdoor concert at 6:00pm featuring ‘What Time is it, Mr. Fox?’on September 1 in front of the UU Church at the corner of Middle and Church Streets. Free-will donations from the audience will benefit the Northshore Health Project. The Lobster Roller is the food vendor. This concert was postponed from August 4 due to heavy rain.
