Green Meadows Farm – fat, sleepy, well-fed, happy piggildy-wigglies! We’ve watched these guys grow and someday we will call them food, but for now they are piggildy-wigglies!

These guys have a natural social living arrangement, a large area to roam and root, and in addition to high quality grain, are fed the occasional organic veggie by farm visitors. They love broccoli! Who would have thought?
We had a blast at the Summer Harvest Festival on Sunday and took so many great photos that I decided to so a series. I plan on featuring many great local farms more formally in my posting slot (once I get the time to go and visit them with camera in hand)! For now, enjoy the Summer Harvest Festival at Green Meadows Farm…
Raffle quilt and kids art made throughout the day

Farmer Andrews Dad driving the hayride tractor

Hayrides and Pony rides!

Ipswich Clambake, Appleton Farms burgers, great music, and people!

Sneaking up into the tree, which is exactly what I would have done as a girl

The Dixie Cookbook Band was splendid and I loved the costumes!

Tried any maple cotton candy lately? What about marinated lupine bean and hummus spread? Not to mention all the fresh peaches, apricots, and delicious produce feasts! Rob and I split a mushroom Puff Tart and two cold, local (Charlestown) Sodas for a late lunch. YUM!
