Todd Farm Find

It’s such a nice evening.  I am ready to go home and sit in my new lawn chairs. Found these vintage chairs at Todd Farm last weekend.  Very cool, retro style.

Mike’s Place

After a long day of working on the house on Saturday we decided to grab some pizza from Mike’s Place. We ordered “the Favorite” with extra cheese. The favorite is their cheese pizza with sweet sauce. I don’t usually like sweet sauce on pizza, but this was very good.  Obviously the extra cheese isn’t for someone who is watching their waistline.  It’s nice that Mike’s is open late and has the option of take out or you can eat at one of their booths.

Now I need to try Igloo, the ice cream/slushie place, they just opened next door.

Where’s the Buoy?

The road construction is done, now where’s the buoy that marks the intersection of Railroad, Maplewood and Prospect?

This isn’t the greatest picture, but I hope those construction barrels aren’t staying.

Anyone know the status?

Closed for the Season

Today is the last day until September that dogs are allowed on the beach. I know Coconut will be very sad, but I think that means it’s officially summer.

Ravenswood- Magnolia Swamp

I took a nice hike with Coconut this afternoon in Ravenswood Park through the Magnolia Swamp trail.  Very nice day, everything is looking so green, but you have to watch out for ticks!

Eye-Fi

We poked through the Apple store last night and I saw this new Eye-Fi SD card.  I thought all you GMG readers/photographers would love it!

It’s an SD card that wirelessly uploads all your photos to your computer and photo sharing sites like Flickr or Facebook and can even tag each image with a geo-location! They sell them at Apple for $49.99, but I have seen them online for a few bucks cheaper. I told Mike this is on my “list”.

I have passed the one year mark of being a Gloucester resident! I can say that I am very happy that I decided to move here and everyday brings more love for this city and Cape Ann.

I took this picture of city hall almost a year ago on my iphone, walking home from a dinner downtown. I was so happy to be where I was that the weather didn’t bother me at all (ok maybe a few drinks helped). Very similar to a day like today.

Old Sign?

Doing some home renovating this weekend, removed the walls in our dining room and found this sign. I think it’s an old store sign, does anyone know where it came from or what it actually is?

Dog Art

Here’s a video I just received from my dog walker, Jen Nicol aka The Fairy Dog Ma. I love the pictures and videos she sends to show how much fun Coconut has while I’m stuck at work. This video she took on her iPhone and used the Qik VideoCamera application to create the effect.

Back from the Dominican

I spent my long weekend in the Dominican Republic to soak up some sun and warm weather. The overall experience was great, the people are very friendly and the beaches beautiful. After visiting I am thankful for everything I have and was a little homesick even after only 4 days.  Sorry Joey, I didn’t have any GMG stickers with me.
