2022 Good Morning Gloucester Shop Local Series-Toodeloos

My beautiful wife Kate and I are going to feature one or two local places to buy holiday gifts each day highlighting the fact that there’s no need to buy your presents online or trudge up to the mall.

There’s excellent places to shop right here in Gloucester.

THE RETURN OF EXTRAORDINARY MO’BROS

We’re back at it again for the 4th sit down with Tom, Ben and Geoff talking about MOVEMBER!

We discuss Men’s mental health and the rise of telehealth and how that has come a long way since we first met the guys back in 2018!

This is a very important episode, go take a listen and donate to the Bro’s if you can!

The next Old Sloop Coffeehouse concert will be Saturday, November 19.  The show features Joe Jencks, who has performed at the Old Sloop several times before, both solo and with Brother Sun. Chris LaVancher will open the show.

Here is a video of Joe’s song When The Moon Rises Over Skibbereen: https://youtu.be/3VR7IuTYbMY. Ironically, this video was Joe’s submission to NPR’s Tiny Desk contest. He did not win — Alisa Amador, who performed for us a few nights ago, won.

Holiday Shopping with Pat D

The holidays are fast approaching and I thought it might be fun to share some of my local shopping experiences with you. For the first installment, we went to Cape Pond Ice to pick up some gifts for some favorite people. I had in mind exactly what I wanted so it was intended to be a quick stop. We immediately noticed the inside of the store (located on Commercial Street) has recently been reconfigured. It looks even better! The merchandise is neatly displayed and easy to navigate. We got what I had planned on and Jim got himself a new hat. These are favorite items for family and friends so it makes the perfect gift especially for those who love Gloucester but live elsewhere. Thanks Scott and team! Well done, as usual.
