I promise not to wear my fur lined Crocs outside of the house

After hearing from a bunch of people I know about how comfortable and cozy warm they are, I decided to take the leap.

Am I proud?

No. Sometimes we just gotta look at winter in New England and say “Fuck it. I’m going for comfort.”

Here’s me promise to you: You will not see me outside of the house wearing them and if you do, you have my full permission to take photos and publicly humiliate me in them.

Initial reports are that they are indeed warm and cozy and offer a comfortable arch support.

Here’s the unboxing video (even though it’s really just taking them out of a plastic bag).

They fit true to size so I’m a 12 mens and they were perfect.

The white ones may or may not be worn by my beautiful wife Kate😀

Loren Doucette Interview On Palate and Palette

Hello Joey and Good Morning Gloucester friends!

I am a long-time reader and fan of GMG and love it because I find out about cool things to do, see, and eat in Cape Ann. (I also love all the great photos you post of sunsets and beautiful scenery).  It was through GMG that I learned about artist Loren Doucette, and I wanted to share the recent interview I posted on my site Palate & Palette with Loren:  https://open.substack.com/pub/palateandpalette/p/loren-doucette-painter?r=cioli&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I hope you will check it out, and also consider sharing it!

Thanks for all you do!

Kind regards,

Amy

Exploring Flat Ledge Quarry

We did a little exploring of Flat Ledge Quarry in Rockport recently. Again, we took note of low water levels. But when the water is low, it opens you up to some new discoveries! At least it was new to us to see what appear to be the remains of some track / pulley method of hauling things up and out. Fascinating old metal hooks and pulleys along with old wooden rails. Interesting and disturbing at the same time!
