Not going to lie, don’t know much about this, but each time I scroll through my photos it catches my eye.  It is known as The Londoner and is an iron spindle not far off of Thacher’s Island.  It marks Londoner’s Ledge.

Celebrating Schooner Ardelle’s 10th Anniversary

Last night many friends of the Schooner Ardelle gathered to commemorate a decade-long partnership, and to celebrate the beauty and impact of the Schooner Ardelle for Cape Ann, Maritime Gloucester, Burnham Boat Building and the Essex Shipbuilding Museum.

Senator Bruce Tarr presented citations to Maritime Gloucester, Essex Shipbuilding Museum and Harold Burnham and praised all three for their contribution to our maritime history.

Mayor Sefatia Romero Theken also stopped by to present a citation on behalf of a grateful city.

Music was provided by Daisy Nell & Capt Stan and their merry band. An old fashion potluck was enjoyed by all.

Old and New GMG Stickas Around Town

Over the years, there have been a number of different GMG stickers available for the asking. I found this blue metallic one recently and it got me thinking about some of the other older versions. So, we went looking and here is what we found over the course of just a few days.

If you’d like your own sticker in its current slick die-cut version, send a SASE to Joey at 95 East Main St. Gloucester MA 01930. If you’d like to share a photo of your sticker, please feel free! Email it to Joey and it will probably get posted with your name!
