Maritime Gloucester Seasonal Sales/Front Desk Associate

High School or equivalent (Preferred)
Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Maritime Gloucester is looking for an outgoing, personable Associate to work part-time in our Museum and Museum Store. Our passion is sharing our fantastic site with the public. We leverage the rich maritime heritage of Gloucester and our unique marine environment to offer a host of exciting educational programs, public pop-up workshops, schooner sailing experiences, and so much more.
This role is a forward-facing role that requires a positive attitude and customer service energy. You will be interacting with the public throughout your workday. Responsibilities include selling admission and encouraging guests to become members, selling tickets or booking charters for the schooner Ardelle, handling money, answering phones, light cleaning, selling merchandise, stocking gift shop items, pricing merchandise, and other duties as needed. Experience in the retail or tourism industry is desired. A cheerful and helpful disposition is a necessity. Ability to learn and operate POS and other required technology a must.
Flexible availability requested though our current needs are Tuesday-Friday during operating hours.
