THE NEGG BOILED EGG PEELER

We tested this on today’s GloucesterCast Podcast.

The Premise is that it makes it super easy to peel an egg .

It takes me forever to peel an egg and I always mess up. But I love a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast to keep me from eating like an asshole.

THERE’S A BABY FOX LIVING ON THE ROOF ABOVE THE STUDIOS AT MADFISH WHARF. AS REPORTED BY @FISHPRINTER

Back to the Village in Essex!

We had dinner at the Village in Essex recently and it was very nice to be back there again! There’s a smaller menu, but the food remains delicious and the staff efficient and friendly. The tables are seated with distancing in mind. Seating is available inside and outside. It was a beautiful evening and the restaurant was lively. Several customers were greeted like the old friends they obviously are. It’s comforting to be in such a warm atmosphere.

I started with French Onion soup, one of my “ test dishes”. I like to try it everywhere I can to see how each kitchen makes it. This was as yummy as it looks. It was nice and hearty. I a

So tried the special Black and Bleu Steak. Jim had another special with a variety of broiled seafood. None was left to take home! No room for dessert, but it would have been key lime pie……

Buyer or Seller’s Market?

Kenny MacCarthy's avatarCape Ann Home

It’s not as simple as “it’s a seller’s market” or “it’s a buyer’s market”. Different price ranges, property types and towns all have their own special niches of volatility. Or they don’t.
Real estate is very localized.
That’s one reason we love to look at the “on market snapshot”: it shows how the price bands of available condos and single family properties in Gloucester and Rockport are faring.
You’ll find an “on market snapshot” in the Cape Ann Waterfront Guide.

“Born in a Hurricane, Married in a Pandemic”Cheers to marital bliss! Cynthia Hendrickson

Hi Joey,
It was nice to run into you last night at Minglewood!
Brian and I did a “following COVID protocol” wedding on the Schooner Ardelle a few weeks ago. It was a small family wedding. Our dear friend and talented musician, Chelsea Berry, not only sang for us, but she was our officiant. The sky didn’t let loose its rainfall until after our vows; we had a lovely dinner at Castle Manor after we all went home and dried off! Attached are a couple of photos.
Speaking of rain, I have a Taste Gloucester tour with a wedding celebration as well as an anniversary outing and I know that the sun will shine by noon. But if it doesn’t, we’ll have fun too. Here’s a photo of 2 of our Foodies with our Mayor yesterday! We are grateful for her support.
I was born during Hurricane Carol – which makes me sort of ancient – so my new motto is:
“Born in a Hurricane, Married in a Pandemic”Cheers to marital bliss!

Castle Hill in the Fall

We took advantage of the opportunity to get a timed entry pass to the grounds at Castle Hill this past week. Beautiful at any time, but this time the Rose Garden was open and boasting several monarchs in addition to a relaxing landscape. You never know what creatures you might meet! Information available here.
