So sorry to hear! I would be heart broken if it was one of my chickens. The coyotes are denning with their pups now, they are going to be extra active and territorial. It’s important to keep chickens contained in a predator proof run, don’t leave dogs and cats unattended and keep them on a leash. If you see a coyote in your yard you can yell, scream, throw things at them to try to scare them away. We want them to stay afraid of us. Also check the yard for anything that may be attracting them, compost, feed, bird feeders, trash, etc.
