Dead in the Water, a documentary film by David Whittkower, premiered at the Rockport High School auditorium this afternoon. Photos and video clips of the Q and A will be posted tomorrow.

Save the date for the next local showing, which will be at the Cape Ann Museum on February 10th, 2018. This film is a must see for every member of our community and will inspire you to take an active role in helping to preserve our most treasured and valuable resource. Without the help of the entire community, the industry will soon be Dead in the Water.

  1. Will be shared and very hard to see (actually heartbreaking for me) – being out there with those that work it is spot on walk a mile in the shore or moccasins. I would also say not only some PTSD is possible but also – ( vicarious trauma). I have been looking at this area over the past two weeks for public safety as well and currently studying through a course on-line oh so very hard!

    “Course Objective The purpose of this course is to expand health and public safety, mental health professionals, and professionals jobs of all sorts co-relate’ abilities to identify and understand countertransference reactions common in work with trauma survivors, the causes and signs of burnout and compassion fatigue, and factors contributing to vicarious trauma and resilience.” Very tough and resilient but it does take it’s toll!”

    Hopefully, we can find a way to make this happen and bring them back! As I said before and stand by it those who care will always pay the highest price!
