Loved the article in the latest addition of Historic New England on Craft Masters Paint by Numbers. They are part of my history. While living in Europe in the late 50’s, early 60’s my father painted quit a few, they sold them in the PX and they were something to do.
When he was away on special assignment he had time on his hands and he would paint them. I’m lucky to still have a few!






These look familiar! My Dad liked to do them too, perhaps also from extra time on his hands during the service years.

Yup ~ I remember receiving the covered bridge for Christmas. I started the project with excitement but never finished. I think the people who did the projects shown here had great result. Now I’m wondering what I did with the beautiful coloring book and pencils my grandchildren gave me ~
