Sailing

If you can look at this gorgeous photo and not find yourself singing, “Sailing” by Christopher Cross you are a stronger person than I am.

Thanks again to Paul and Betsey Horovitz for keeping me armed with wonderful photos of the Annisquam.

  1. Excellent choice for music and matches the photo to a tee!! Setting sun and lonely lover’s free a quote from sugarloaf song too!…I remember this song very well as I was just getting ready to set sail from South Korea back to America and in time for my birthday day in June 1980 (and was turning almost 25, when this came out). Bought the album at my next assignment (Warner Robbins GA)… Thanks Nicole for the walk back and forward to today! 🙂 Dave & Kim 🙂

“Sailing” is a gentle yet emotionally powerful song that singer / songwriter Chris Cross released on (June 15, 1980) on his album of the same name. The song received massive radio play and reached number one on the Billboard charts in the United States and Canada. The Grammy Awards also recognized the song for both Song of the Year and Arrangement of the Year.! 🙂

Christopher Cross is an American singer-songwriter from San Antonio, Texas. Cross won five Grammy Awards for his eponymous debut album released in 1979. The singles “Sailing”, and “Arthur’s Theme” peaked at number one on the U.S Billboard Hot 100…From the Big (T) and song sailed around the world for sure.
