Headed to Boston early yesterday morning to find a spot to watch the Parade of Sails which did not disappoint despite the early fog and 1 hour delay! It took quite a while for the boats to reach my location on the Seaport but it was worth the wait. The boats are docked in various points of Boston Harbor through Wednesday night and you can get information on the boats, their locations and visiting hours at the Sail Boston website. Here’s just a sampling of my hundreds of pics. (PS…Happy Father’s Day to all the GMG Dad’s today!) Enjoy!

Unbelievably gorgeous! I was so sad to miss going in for the Parade of Sails yesterday. We are spending the night near the Charlestown Navy Yard on Tuesday but I’m guessing most ships will be tied up and not under sail! Thanks for sharing those!!!
They will still be awesome! I’m hoping to get in there at night this week….some of them are lit up at night so make sure you get some shots in case I don’t lol!
Beautiful photos, Bridgette. So much more rewarding that the several hours spent looking at the TV version (w/fog and too many speeches!) Thanks so much
While I would have liked more info on each ship as it went by (like they do on TV), it was a gorgeous display in real life…and I just used the App! Thanks!!
Great photos Bridgette, thanks. I was on the Spirit of Boston. We had a commentator who had a running dialog of comprehensive ship info as we passed the vessels. I recommend that for next time (?).
Well Good Morning! What a post! The ships are inspiring, the flags and spirit ~ all so beautifully shown in your photos ~

Absolutely gorgeous photos, Bridgette. I was there, too, but my pictures don’t due the spectacle justice. Thanks so much for sharing!
