St. Peter’s Fiesta Parades of Yesteryear
So many thanks to Grace Parisi for sharing these clips that her Dad Anthony J. Parisi took from the 1950s and early 60s. It is amazing to see the beautiful floats and costumes, and the amount of work that surely must have gone into making the floats.
Grace writes, “Various clips of the parade from 1955 to 1960’s (?). This is an old film and a bit long but I hope you enjoy. The work that went into these floats absolutely wonderful. Maybe you will see yourself or a friend on a float, marching or riding a donkey. Thank you to my Dad, Anthony J. Parisi, for taking most of this video.”

Just think, sixty years from now, in the midst of the Country’s celebration of its 300th birthday, people will be looking at GMG’s fantastic coverage of the 2016 Fiesta and trying to identify all those vaguely familiar faces.
