One thought on “How a Heroin Crisis Sparked a Police Revolution

  1. I would just like to say that this is a great article and I appreciate the light shed on the issue. I do not agree it’s correct when your putting it lightly saying ” a sudden rash of overdoses” gloucester has been a heroin town for a long time… I wish I was living on a rainbow like you and Make this topic seem “so sudden”. This subject isn’t to be sugar coated. Making our city sound like Hamilton wenham “this small fishing city” I think it’s just as bad as New Bedford. Do you not see the junkies passed out all over the city and pushing baby strollers smoking cigarettes and barley walking because they are drugged out ??? It’s fucking sick. I’m sorry but this article is so wrong. This problem isn’t hidden and it’s not new. People are just starting to chip at the ice because we have a police chief who gave the issue a chance and a voice to be treated and solved. I think it’s starts from police pulling over when they drive by someone who looks really messed up and taking them into custody. If you can’t be drunk in public why can you be on her ion in public? Why is this something cops overlook? Maybe people wouldn’t be so carefree about doing it where ever they want .. Like our children’s playgrounds …. Ect…
