Anyone notice the Andrew Piatt Bridge is done as in D-O-N-E?

No bridge bra, no girdle, no Porta-Potties. Could it really be completely done for a few weeks before they start painting it again or setting it on fire?

  1. They had to put a lot of layers of really thick paint on because steel does not burn very well.
If it were inflammable, there would be no reason to come back for years and we would miss
them terribly. The guys on the barge and the structure were so friendly waving to the grand
kids whenever we went downtown on the river. There were the same cars sitting up there
watching day after day as well. They did not seem quite so happy. I can not imagine why
they were leaving the island though.

    1. They can either wait for that thick paint to catch fire or hire on for the train bridge reconstruction. That job even the young ones can hire on for a lifetime of rebuilding. But first they have to wait for a train to fall in the river …

Commuter as the train fills with water, “Could be worse, the WIFI is still working …”

  2. I just thought about that today!! But then I realized they are waiting for the traffic to quadruple so they can get that good cluster bottleneck traffic jam going. Sit in the slow left lane for half hour or f them all and scream down the right lane with all the off-islanders…ahhhh summertime!! 😃
