Donna just a messenger:
Thank You! I’ll have to get with mom see if she remembers anything she came along in the early 1930’s If I find out anything I will pass along:-) Yes here dancing days helped longevity and she was always kind and smiling and the community that way has a special affect too!
She lived by the golden rule on treating people the way she wanted to be treated…Thanks she danced In New York, Chicago, and Boston. Mom told me that the photo with curls was used on the for signs during Vaudeville days! She loved music and loved to dance..
Maybe a bit like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OjMJIGLyEE&nohtml5 (Or actually a little early but similar)?
She had quite a character parrot called Polly smart as whistle too. Drove the mailman crazy when he knock on the door and she would say nobody’s home – and the mailman would say Mildred open the door he didn’t know it was parrot. The granite stairs down to her yard was a challenge in winter right of Washington street there in BayView there was entrance also on street level much better used mostly in winter only! 🙂
