Yecchy!

HOLY CRAP!  Mid-shower, shampoo in hair, and caught a glimpse of this sucker running up the shower curtain!

Now look, I’m no fool…I’m not going to pretend that this hairy little arachnid wasn’t equally as horrified about running into me in the shower as I was about running into him, but the chances of him biting me are still much greater than me biting him.

Not many things make my skin crawl…but, this guy did.  Call me a wuss, but I’ve eaten termites in the rainforest, stepped on the tail of a monitor lizard that was running out of my bathroom in Africa, and have shoveled bait and dressed big blue fins at the tuna wharf for several summers.  That having been said, I’ll be checking under my sheets and sleeping with one eye open for a while thanks to this gruesome little monster.  Yikes.

    1. Excellent information, Jessica! Thanks so much for sharing! Although I could have done without the part that said something like “fearless with a massive appetite!” I was going to try to figure out what type of spider he was later…thanks for saving me some time. You may be happy to know that I let him go outside.

      1. I am happy to now that Nicole….I’ve come to appreciate spiders as I have aged…every creature, no matter how creepy has it’s place and is necessary in this web of life. Now if only I could get over freaking out over centipedes……

      1. These are not too dangerous and rarely bite unless provoked…The two insects I get flustered with are the skeeters brings on the song by the coaster Poision Ivy itchy – and hard to sleep…Common flies annoying also…Other than that follow the leave alone syndrome and relocate the ones that cause issues from bites thankfully paper cups do the trick 🙂 Dave & Kim:-)
