  1. Like Rodney Dangerfield Mallards get no respect. The rare adorable buffleheads show up and no one wants to take any photos of the boring old common mallard.

    If they were rare, had to really hunt to find one, I think mallards would be in the top five most adorable ducks. But I like all ducks. Brown, blue, yellow.
