Undergoing a renovation after Olive Kitteridge Taping Passports Restaurant they discovered a tile floor from decades ago.

The plan is to restore it to its former glory.

  1. It will probably look great but it will also change the acoustics for the worse. A hard tile surface, like the tin ceiling at Sugar Mags, will reflect everything and conversation, the reason we all enjoy eating together, will get more difficult unless some countermeasures are employed. In my humble opinion, more establishments need to pay attention to this or wind up like Cruiseport where no one can hear anything.

  2. Acoustics? Another place with awesome food, Cape Ann Brew with great food, lovely building but terrible deafening listen to every conversation amplified off a hard surface acoustics? I hope it is not an exciting new improved echo chamber.
