  1. As children tell mom where headed and leave the house be gone all day along the rocks except come home for a quick PBJ glass of milk. We used to just sit on the rocks looking out, explore the areas for hours, exploring the pools for crabs, minnows, periwinkles, smooth stones, shells, driftwood, etc, whatever we could find and what a view – being there would even be better – but until then this does the trick! 🙂 Thanks.

      1. Today in some locations if you let a 6-7 year old out may find yourself in trouble. I am glad I was a kid in the 60’s (WOW) 🙂

        1. That’s one of the things I love most about living in Gloucester and Rocky Neck in particular, kids can roam freely and play as kids should be able to do, and the neighborhood keeps watch. It is that sense of community and looking out for each other that is missing in too many places today and prevents kids from being able to be the adventurers, explorers, inventors, etc. that our parents felt secure enough to let us be.
