Those old cars parked on the street give me flashbacks to my childhood shopping on Main St. in the late 70s. A family friend who lived on East Main St. had that exact station wagon – I remember sliding around in the back of it on trips to the beach (because of course that’s where I begged to ride – so much more fun than sitting in a seat).

I remember traveling from East Hartford, Ct to visit my grandparents in Rockport, in Dad’s ’55 Ford wagon. When it was time to go home Mom would put blankets and pillows in the “way back” and all 5 of us would sleep all the way home.
