Bike For Savanna Fundraiser
Hi-Pete Kelley here-Sports Director at North Shore 104.9. I saw the piece on Savannah Pallazola around the 15th of November and been amazed by this little girl everytime I see here around town. I met here at Scott Duffany wrestling event 2 years ago and was absolutely taken by her spirit and energy!!!
I have been doing a Sports Talk Show on 104.9 for 10 years now called the North Shore Sports Desk every Saturday morning from 8-9am (interviewing high school student athletes and coaches)and have done many “LIVE” shows to celebrate many high school sports teams Championship seasons in Gloucester(football)-Marblehead(football) and in Lynn for St Mary’s Girls Hockey to name a few!!
Now, my brother Paul Kelley-who owns the show ,has given me permission, along with Len Pallazola and Jackie Burns,(Savannah’s parents) to do a fundraiser at the Gloucester Depot Restaurant on Railroad Ave on December 17th from 8-9am to raise money for a special adaptive bike that Savannah needs as her Prosthetic legs will not allow her to ride a normal bicycle!!! This bike is very expensive-near $4,000 and I believe every child deserves a bike!!
We will have many raffle items-autographs for sale-special guest appearances from Gloucester dignitaries who have fell in love with Savannah or have just seen her around town and want to help out in the Gloucester Tradition!!! After this show-the Gloucester Cinema will open its’ doors at 10am for another special fundraiser for Savannah by showing the New Sherlock Holmes Movie-“A Game of Shadows” with Robert Downey and Jude Law. For a $12 donation you get a ticket to the show-soft drink and popcorn!!! GREAT DEAL-GREAT DOUBLEHEADER for a GREAT CAUSE!!!! Check her website out www.bikeforsavannah.com the events so far are posted and one of the companies they are looking at for a bike is www.freedomryder.com Please be a part of this by spreading the word for Savannah and these events-I will do any interview for you on this or anyone that can help us get a big crowd there to donate anything!! Every little bit helps whether it’s a dime or a dollar!!! Thanks for your time!! Regards-
Pete Kelley Sports Director
