Hey, Joey!
Thought you and our neighbors might be interested in pictures of a seal that came to Montgomery’s Cove to bask in the sun today.
I’d never witnessed this before, but David Montgomery said that they’ve been here in the past, lying around on the ice for hours.
It was incredible to watch this seal move across the ice – it didn’t seem to expend any more energy than absolutely necessary.
Does anyone know this seal and does this one have a name already?
😀
Rebecca

He’s a cute one!!!

It’s a harp seal, an adult.

His name is Buddy he rested in the marsh here at Hodkins cove in Bayview for about three or four days, about three weeks ago. I have some great closeups of his face too.

A harp seal was basking in the warm sunshine on Friday at White Beach in Manchester. Perhaps it was Buddy making the rounds.
