I’ve been checking out my stats today and the numbers have been off the charts so I dug a little deeper and saw they were coming from http://boston.com/ not boston.com/someotherpage, but from the main page. So I checked it out a little further and it is featured on the main page under the heading New England Blogs all by itself. you can see for yourself if you click there and scroll down in the right hand column about 3/4 of the way down on the front page!

Masonic Hall  6-6:45, 7-7:45 & 8-8:45 PM

This year’s Drum Jam & Parade is for Kids of ALLLL ages. Children AND Adults are welcomed. No experience required. Our group will bring a colorful array of drums and percussion instruments as well as a large green dancing dragon. Join us for the New Years Celebration as we parade down Broadway with you and Dragon Company. You are welcome but not required to bring your own instruments and costumes.

Lots of composite trex-like decking.  Smart to use around salt water.  I wonder how they will finish off around that edge.  Stay tuned to these pages and we will find out as the project rolls forward.

Annual Rocky Neck Plunge: New Years Day

Oak Cove Beach (off Wonson St)

Meet at Sailor Stan’s at 11:45 am and parade, en masse, to the beach in all our glory. Costumes and instruments are encouraged ~ let’s be FOOLISH!!!!!!!!!

For anyone not familiar with this event, it is our annual winter swim/dunk into the balmy waters of lovely Gloucester Harbor. Come swim, come watch.

We will gather at Sailor Stan’s immediately after the plunge for a pot luck, BYOB lunch (this means bring a dish, appetizer, desert, anything) . A donation to Sailor Stan’s of $5 per person is requested (heat ain’t cheap ~ so don’t you be either!). Coffee, hot chocolate and chowder will be provided.
