Welcome to the Meat and Sweet Food’s Thanksgiving Order Page. We appreciate every one of your orders. We make all of our food from scratch, with a lot of love. Pickup is Wed Nov 27, 11AM-6PM at our BBQ location, 23 East Main Street, Gloucester. Please contact us if you have questions or need alternate arrangements. You will receive a confirmation email after you order. Please check your spam folder if you do not. You will also get an email from us with a total amount. This will come up to a week after you order. Payment is expected at pickup. Please be patient, we respond one at a time.

Maha Jabba, owner and chef at Markouk Bread, and crew create flavorful and delicious Mediterranean everyday eats at their location on 338 Main Street, in Gloucester, MA, near houses that inspired artist Edward Hopper, and famed public stairs and Crow’s Nest featured in books, art and cinema. Their popular and traditional dishes highlight Lebanese cuisine. Customers can eat standing or sitting–inside and out; most people opt for grab & go. Customers may find it helpful to call ahead (they sell out), and find it easier parking across the street.

“If only you could cook like his mom.” Fun fact: As a longtime fan favorite at Cape Ann Farmers Market and Main Street events, people are familiar with Jabba’s everyday gourmet and dazzling saj-grill meals. What they may not know is when her son played for GHS sports (eventually soccer co-captain), those lucky athletes had the best team dinners ever at their house, enjoying classic comfort dishes and other specialties. She can cook everything!

A new business has opened downtown during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Captain Vito’s Fresh Seafood opened on 53 Washington Street in Gloucester, Massachusetts, utterly transforming the space formerly held by wonderful Giovanni’s barbershop (and tailor shop at the back). Sclafani’s Italian bakery is located next door.

Glenn and Allie Varga’s Pleasant Street Tea Company will be closed by week’s end. Not to worry though, you can still enjoy their delicious fare and warm hospitality at their wonderful restaurant, Allie’s Beach Street Cafe, in Manchester.

CRAIG’S FAV JOINTS – SURFSIDE PIZZA & SUBS

This is the inaugural episode of my new series that showcases anything I’m really diggin’ at the moment. And right now, I’m feeling me some SURFRIDER PIZZA. You may know that they have great subs on fresh baked bread, but do you know how awesome the pie is there? This place churns out some amazing specialty pies, one of my favorites being the Pollo Pesto, trust. But in this episode, I go in deep for the classic: pepperoni and cheese. For me, it’s all about hand tossed, freshly made thin crust. I’m not about some sweet sauce either, that’s just wrong. Some call in New York style, I call it proper. Whether it’s a white garlic pizza, pesto, red sauce, you name it, SURFRIDER has something for ya!

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST ON THIS GOOD MORNING GLOUCESTER EXCLUSIVE!!!

The most expensive thing on the menu I saw was well under $10.  The smells coming the kitchen were HEAVENLY.  You could smell the freshness of the ingredients!!!!
