Fantastic TV above the bar. Friendly service. I’d come back again for sure. There were several attractively priced lunch specials.

Lenny did a nice job renovating the Gloucester House.
Lat 43 Sushi, originally uploaded by captjoe06.
Unagi, Spicy Tuna Roll, Egg Roll, California Roll which uses real snow crab instead of that fake stuff found in most sushi joints.
Latitude 43 Octopus, originally uploaded by captjoe06.
This is a better pic of the infamous Octopus. The sushi chef told me that inside the head there will be a light fixture that is supposed to light it up. Should look pretty wild.

I got a few better shots of Latitude 43 during the day.

atitude 43 Pub Area, originally uploaded by captjoe06.
Forgot to post this pic of the pub area at Latitude 43. Not a great shot but it gives an idea of the space for those that are interested.

I just love this place. Every time I walk in I feel like I’ve known the girls for years and they are always willing to accomodate my tweaking of the dishes.
The prices are reasonable. The ingredients the freshest and it shows in the tasty dishes they prepare. Another reason Gloucester is the best place in the world to live- funky joints like Chili Choice.
Here’s a link to the website-
Latitude 43 Waiting Lounge, originally uploaded by captjoe06.Beautiful room. Warm, inviting.
A huge thank you should go out to folks that have the confidence and willingness to investthis kind of dough in Gloucester.
This place is yet another reason Gloucester has it all over the muckey muck towns a little further up the line that pretend to be great but have no soul.

Perfectly prepared, loaded with chuncks of crab and the pickled peppers were delish too.

Here is the Beef wellington which was a pan seared tenderloin with mushroom duxelles, fresh crab and mushroom sauce on puff pastry.
Morning Glory, originally uploaded by captjoe06.My usual breakfast haunt was closed today, so I decided on breakfast at a place I hadn’t eaten at in a while, Morning Glory.
This place is old school. You know a place is old school when they only offer on the tables a big canister of sugar and not the usual assortment of blue, yellow and red packets of artificial sweeteners for your coffee. A request for splenda produced the sweetener of choice and a smile from our very patient server.

Looking forward to eating some food here.
