Erik Lorden AKA “Hozar” has complete faith in his lead dodgeballer “Party Favor” who will be running a ten mile road race just prior to the tournament on the Morning of March 4th.

Beverly Athletic Club Kiss Our BACsides– BACsides are Gonna be blistered with Dodgeball marks

Farm Team Swiss Farmy Knives– Farm Knives?  Could we get a more effeminate sounding team name? You’re not scaring anyone in this competition!

Maestranzi Brothers Red, White and Blue Balls– More concerned about the team’s outfits than competing and Team captain needs to pull his head out of his ass and get back in the game!

Muffy White Organizings Hot Mess– The Uber Type A Muffy will be so encompassed trying to figure out the proper Dodgeball rules that they won’t be able to focus on pure play and will lead to Hot Mess’ demise.

Cape Ann Brewing Nacho Libre– Have you drank more than three Fisherman’s Brew?  If you have you know that the impairment which ensues will be this team’s undoing.

Cross Fit Cape Ann  Buns and Guns and Power Snatch– So Angry about Passports Call-Out they’ve lost all their focus

Dog Bar American Bacon – Andy Mullholland in a Speedo?  Enough said.

Beach Gourmet’s Drop It like It’s Hot– More concerned with renovation, may be distracted!

Three New Teams Sign Up For The Farm/GMG Bikini Speedo Dodgeball Tournament!

Three new teams have signed on and we have a T Shirt Sponsor- Jungle Silkscreening and corporate promotional products  out of Ipswich!

I told you any team that signs up will get their links and logo included in every Speedo Dodgeball post leading up to the event.  GMG is only seen by 25-35,000 people a day so for you to not sponsor a team and get that recognition in these pages for your organization is just plain bad business.  Not to mention that all of the profits are going to Next Step, an organization that provides support, education and resources for teens and young adults coping with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. www.nextstepnet.org

Eric Lorden from Passports told me they ordered bikini’s and speedos with maple leafs on the ass and are looking into getting white swim caps with the maple leaf as well.. .So we have The Farm Bar and Grille, Ryan and Wood Distillery, George’s Coffee Shop,Sugar Mag’s, Cross Fit Cape Ann, Beverly Athletic Club, Good Morning Gloucester, Jungle Screen Printing, Passports Restaurant,and Ed Collard’s House Doctors Squad’s so far.

Get a team together, have a ton of fun and do some good. Wins all the way around.

You don’t need to be sponsored by a business you can get a team together yourself. Funny team names are encouraged!

So get in on the fun, drum up some awareness for your organization and help with the fight against the suck that is cancer.

Bikini and Speedo Dodgeball- It’s On! This Saturday At The Farm Bar and Grille

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together? Last year over chicken wings at the Farm it hit me.  We had an opportunity to do something that’s never been done before and have an absolute blast doing it.  The Farm, if you haven’t already been there has a huge back yard just off it’s patio which is set up for volleyball in the summer.

All we need to do is register teams and it was a no-brainer great time.  So when Ryan Cox contacted me to ask me when we were going to get it done I looked at the forecast and it calls for 6 inches of fresh powder for Friday- the perfect set up for The First Annual Bikini and Speedo Dodgeball Tournament!

Now there is absolutely nothing better than when you can accomplish a win/win.  But when you can pull off the  win/win/win/win it’s the best of all worlds.

Think about this

  • We get to Raise Money To Save Boobs- Win
  • People get to witness the spectacle of a lifetime- Win
  • The Participating teams get their names mentioned with great publicity- Win
  • Everyone has a blast-Win

Now I’ve contacted several local restaurants and we have 3 local Gloucester teams Confirmed. The Farm is fielding two teams and there is already word that there may be two teams from Salem bars.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive in the very little time since pulling the trigger (last night at 5PM) with most of the local restaurants that I contacted telling me they would get a team together.   However I’m just going to put this out there that there was one local restaurant that I called and the woman I spoke with acted as if it was completely ridiculous and there was no way that she would play in a Bra and Panties Dodgeball tournament.

Now Really.  It’s not like we are asking men and women to wear G-Strings.  You can find Bra and Panties that cover up way more than you see every day of the summer at Good Harbor Beach.  Who the hell would want to patronize a bar whose owner is so uptight that they couldn’t grasp the fun of a Bra and Panties Dodgeball Tournament and on top of that, Who the hell would want to patronize a bar which didn’t support Breast Cancer Awareness?????

It’s going to be a whole lot of fun.

So who want’s in on the GMG team? Sharon? EJ? Meg Lee?Alicia? David Cox?  Thom Falzarano? Paulie Walnuts?  Sarah Kelley?  We need a team of five and at least 2 women.  Also it doesn’t only have to be contributors, we can have our regular commenters on the squad as well. I personally will sponsor the entry fee for our GMG Team out of the TShirt money fund.

We Have Another Squad Confirmed For Bra and Panties Dodgeball

Last night we got confirmation of yet another team for bra and panties dodgeball coming this winter.  The captain of this team is a real competitor too.  So far that makes 5 confirmed squads.

I’d like to have a total of at least 10 teams to fill out the brackets.
