Senator Scott Brown At Cape Pond Ice

Good Morning Joey….

In the last photo, we’re admiring my photograph on the back of our truck “Catch the Cool”

The Senator’s promised me a copy of his new book, and headed out by boat (it was low tide, and the ladder down was a little dicey) with a Cape Pond Ice t-shirt and fleece vest.

Boston’s First Night Ice Sculptures Born Right Here in Gloucester MA Pics and Videos

Christmas Eve at Cape Pond Ice I swung by and got some pictures and video of Ice being harvested for use in the ice sculptures for Boston’s First Night displays.  All week long there will be some of the world’s most renowned ice sculptors preparing the ice in sections for installation New year’s Eve in Boston.  There are some big sections featuring Boston sports icons Tom Brady and Shaq being prepped there right now. So if you go into town and see those sculptures, know they were born right here in beautiful Gloucester Massachusetts.

Scott Memhard gave us a lesson as we stood atop 300 tons of 300 lb ice cubes.  Videos tomorrow.image

Dry Ice From Cape Pond Ice For Halloween Effects

Halloween is just around the corner!

Planning a Party?

Looking for a Spooky Effect?

Try the "Coolest" Dry Ice at your party.

To create fog, place chucks of dry ice in a water tight container and cover with water.

Warm water creates more fog, but the ice will disappear faster. ;

To keep the fog flowing just keep adding dry ice and water to the pot!

Here are some other "Cool" ideas!

Pumpkin:  place the dry ice inside a cup of hot water and place it inside a carved pumpkin.  The smokey fog will escape out the eyes, nose and mouth area.

Tombstones:  create a tombstone out of cardboard.  Combine the hot water and dry ice in a bowl and watch the smokey for engulf your yard!

Goblin Guts:  just add soap and watch the bubbles overflow and pop with tiny smoke bubbles.  This is a bit messy but really "Cool."

Remember to always take care when handling dry ice.

DO NOT TOUCH WITH YOUR HANDS.

Wear gloves and use tongs. Children should not be left unattended with dry ice and always use dry ice in a well ventilated area.

Have a fun filled Halloween!

Meet Cape Pond Ice’s "Coolest" Millionaire!

Meet Cape Pond Ice’s "Coolest" Millionaire!

We all know that Cape Pond Ice’s Coolest Guys & Gals are Winners…..Well, Brandon Ward proved us right!

Brandon Ward has worked for Cape Pond Ice for over a year now.  He is currently managing our Bresnahan Ice Lawrence branch.  While out on his route delivering our "Pure Yankee Cold" he stop at Tony’s Convenience to fill them up.  They didn’t need ice…  so while he was there he bought a bottle of water, sunflower seeds and a $5.00 scratch ticket.  He finished up his route and once back at the shop he scratched his ticket.  To his surprise he won a $1 million grand prize on the Jumbo Bucks game!

Brandon is pictured here with his fiancee Jennifer Bompane, with his first of 20 annuity checks for $50,000.00 before taxes.

Today Brandon is still working for Cape Pond Ice!

Everyone here at Cape Pond Ice could not be happier for him…..

CONGRATULATIONS BRANDON FROM THE "COOLEST GUYS AROUND!"
