Pet of the Week – Lanie

Lanie

Hello, my name is Lanie and I am a six month old Purebred Japanese Chin.   I am residing at the Cape Ann Animal Aid, a non-profit shelter who cares for homeless cats and dogs and finds loving forever homes for them.  The shelter is located at 260 Main Street in Gloucester.

I have a lovely black-and-white coat.   I will remain small even when I am a full grown lady.   I love meeting people and other pups.  I can be a bit bossy at times; but I am very sweet, too!   I am learning how to walk on a leash and I know my new owners will take me for walks so that we might go shopping to buy me a string of pearls!

The CAAA is a non-profit shelter located at 260 Main Street. Of course we appreciate donations to our Building Fund, but it is fine to bring toys for the shelter cats and dogs and yes, it is okay to bring me the most!

Cape Ann Animal Aid Pet of The Week From GMG

Joey:  Hope you had a great weekend!

Tina Ketchopolos from Cape Ann Animal Writes–

Good Morning Gloucester!   My name is Sammy
and I am an affectionate one-and-a-half year
old adventurous girl. I love checking out new
spots, going for walks and having a good time.
I am kind and love spending time with people.
I am learning how to ride in the car and sitting
nicely.   I love the beach, playing ball and having
fun.  I am looking forward to meeting my forever
family.   If you are interested in learning
more about me, please stop by the Cape Ann
Animal Aid in Gloucester, a non-
profit shelter.  Visit our website at:
capeannanimalaid.com
I am residing there until I am adopted;
they are just wonderful to me.
By the way, what does being "a little mischief mean?"
I thought I was a Shepherd and Terrier mix!

Oscar – Pet of the Week At Cape Ann Animal Aid

Here’s the second installment of GMG Pet of The Week-

Good Morning Gloucester!  I am all ready for rainy weather or whatever comes
my way.   My name is Oscar and I am Dachshund.   I love toys and you will
never see me without one in my mouth or near by.
I am a little guy who likes the outdoors.  I like to hike in the woods, walk and don’t let these
short legs fool you – I can keep up with you.   I like my naps, too.   I love to curl up in the
afternoon on a nice soft blanket.   I enjoy riding in the car and just being with people.
I get along with most dogs as long as these don’t take my toys.  I have a little
confession – I like cats but I just love to chase them!  I am being fostered because at
the shelter I was feeling too stressed out and always awake checking to see if anyone
was going to take my toys.  One dog – he looked like half-a-pony – I thought for sure
if I fell asleep he was going to take my toys.   Because of my "intense" style, I am
looking for an adult home.  If you think you could be person(s), please give the shelter
a call so we might chat a little more!   The Cape Ann Animal Aid is located at
260 Main Street in Gloucester and may be reached at (978) 283-6055

Virginia Burke of Beverly Mass was the Winner of the Cape Ann Animal Aid – Winter Bash Raffle, held at Cruiseport Feb 20th.   She adopted her dog “Tank” about a year ago from the Cape Ann Animal Aid, and after winning the raffle (a 42″ Panasonic Flat Screen TV ) they decided to re-donate the prize, back to the shelter to help raise money for the new facilities..
