When the snow comes, the sledding begins. As I was watching the kids snowboarding, sledding and just having fun, makes me want to get on a flying saucer and take it down the hill. Notice the little one it pink being pulled by a sibling.

In case you are from away and are wondering what it looked like about a day after the storm ended, here you go. I saw a report that we got 27” but at my house it seemed closer to 18-20”. Regardless……

Gloucester’s 2nd cultural district was established downtown in March 2013. Jeff Weaver and Sawyer Free / Matz were original partners! Annual surveys from the stakeholders, partners and residents rejected the forced moniker “harbortown” — preferring what they chose and what we know is ‘downtown’. Gloucester’s downtown district stretches from the train station, encompassing the iconic Fisherman at the Wheel Memorial, Stacy Blvd, Stage Fort Park all the way over to Crow’s Nest and everything in between– much as the historic walking, cycling and trolley travel journals encouraged from the late Victorian age through the 1930s and beyond.

After a long storm, the Beauport was the perfect place to sit for a Hugo Spritz and a bowl of lobster bisque by the fire. As an added bonus there was live music as well.

My sister Judy recommended that I consider using these props for my photography. I have to say I definitely need more practice but I love the perspective they give at familiar locations. You may see me out and about practicing !
