North Shore Lesbian New Movie Night

North Shore Lesbian Is Rockin A New Movie Night.

Get your lesbo on with some popcorn and huge fountain drinks!

For the record I totally support lesbianism.  Especially hot lipstick lesbian lesbianism.  Makes way more sense than a dick in the ass doesn’t it?  (not that there’s anything wrong with that if you’re into getting a dick in your ass)  Like us guys are totally gross, I can way more relate to a woman wanting to go down on another woman than a sweaty dude but again, if going down on sweaty dudes is your thing than I fully support your love of going down on sweaty dudes.

The lipstick lesbian thing sounds way more appealing though, no?

Love is love baby!  Equal rights on the marriage thing too- total no-brainer.  How the gays don’t already have equal rights to marry universally by now is just flat out baffling to me.

Either way, do gay men have a similar organization as North Shore Lesbian?  If so, tell them to send me press releases and I’d be happy to publicize their events as well.

Gay pride baby!  Somebody needs to make me a GMG Logo featuring a rainbow color theme so I can post it on the future gay posts. STAT!  Beth Swan can you work your graphic design magic on the logo with some rainbow action?

Hey Joey,
I don’t know if you might be interested in telling GMG fans about our children’s book Giuseppe McGuire from Old Boston Town. I have enclosed the press release and a link to the book trailer. Thanks to the panel discussion at the library in Gloucester last month, we decided to go ahead and self publish through amazon. In Book 2, Giuseppe ends up in Gloucester with his friend the Charles River Monster. Look for it in the Spring!
I appreciate your time. Thank you for making GMG such a great source of information for locals and wanna be locals, such as myself.
Many blessings,

GMG Rubber Duck Fundraising Race Event On Tap For This Spring

With The Stupid Amount Of Rubber Ducks Arriving Daily, City Councilor Melissa Cox Came Up With Yet Another One Of Her Brilliant Ideas-

A GMG Rubber Duck Race At The Good Harbor Beach Creek.

We Will Need Duck Collectors In Wet Suits To Insure No Wayward Ducks Make Their Way To The Ocean On The Outgoing Tide.

DSC08477

So here’s what I’m thinking

When we announce it this spring we go down to the Good Harbor Footbridge, sell ducks for $5 a pop, number them and put folks names corresponding to that number on the sheet and get some swag gifts from area businesses and do 25% of the money collected to the winner of the duck race and 75% going to a local charity. From the footbridge to a lobster pot line stretched across the entrance to the creek.  we could also have a huge picnic party on the bank of the creek at Good harbor Leading up to it!

Sound Good?

What Our Turbines Look Like From The South Shore via Boston Harbor Beacon

image

New Gloucester wind turbine visible from afar

Posted on November 6, 2012 by admin

You can see it! Last Saturday, I noticed the structure off the Northeast while I was out in the bay East of Boston Harbor. The new wind turbine in Gloucester is very clearly visible to boaters from outside Boston Harbor, and as it turns out, is even visible from as far away as the South Shore: Specifically, Turkey Hill in Hingham and the cliffs over Jerusalem Road in Cohasset. As such, this adds a great location point for boaters to help them determine there position and direction while far out on the wide open sea. The Gloucester turbine will be a good visible marker along with the Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, The Salem Power Station, the Lawson Tower and Driftway Wind Turbine in Scituate, and Thacher Island in Rockport.

GMG Reader Question- Dory Paint

Hello Joey,

My father-n-law and I really enjoy your site. Could you give us more information about the dory paint shown in the picture on your site?

What is the actual brand name and manufacturer? How can we get this paint?

Thank You,

Chuck Grace

Comparing Cream Prices

To clarify, prices for one pint, or 16 ounces, of Hood Heavy Cream are as follows:

Market Basket Hood Heavy Cream – $2.19

Stop and Shop Hood Heavy Cream  – $2.39

Shaws Hood Heavy Cream  –               $3.69

.jpg

I did not have time this morning to compare the individual store’s in-house brands of cream however, when I was passing through the produce department at Market Basket, their price of a box of the brand Darling Clementines caught my eye.  Currently, as of today, the price of Darling Clementines is 2.00 higher at Market Basket than at Stop and Shop. When I ran into Stop and Shop the day before Christmas to purchase heavy cream and Clementines my total came to Hood 16 oz. heavy cream, 2.39 + Darling Clementines, 3.99 = $6.38. If I had run into Market Basket for the exact same items the cost would have been Hood 16 0z. heavy cream, 2.19 + Darling Clementines, 5.99 = 8.18. Total savings to our household by shopping at Stop and Shop = $1.80.

I find both Stop and Shop and Market Baskets prices competitive and that we all have the potential to benefit from competition between the two markets.

Christmas Origami Santa

Santa brought me a few origami books! This Santa is from “Brilliant Origami”, by David Brill:

Fr. Matthew Green

Pet of the Week-Timmy

timmy, pet of the week, cape ann animal aid

I am Timmy, a one-year-and-ten-month-old kitten.

I have a handsome coat that I love to keep spotlessly clean. I am at the Cape Ann Animal Aid, located at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter, Four Paws Lane in Gloucester.   I hope you might stop by and visit me.

The volunteers, staff and shelter animals would like to thank the many community friends who are always stopping by with supplies, toys and other items for our shelter.   We would like to wish everyone a peaceful and Happy New Year!

It would be my dream come true to be adopted for New Year’s – not because I like champagne – I do not drink, but to be with a family I could call my own; is something I would toast to!
