Art at Addison Gilbert Hospital

William Grillo has a show of beautiful paintings in the lobby at Addison Gilbert hospital!

Here’s a closeup detail of one of them:

Pet of the Week-Duke

pet of the week, cat, kitty

My name is Duke!    I actually came to the shelter by mistake.  I was an outdoor barn cat and was mistaken for a stray.   It was decided because of my ear that I should become an indoor cat.   I have a unique ear that they call a cauliflower ear.  The condition was caused by an ear infection that has now cleared up.   I am a friendly guy who likes people better than horses, and now I am looking for a nice warm home and family to love me.   I will need to have my ear checked to keep me in top notch shape.   If you would like to meet me, please stop by the Cape Ann Animal Aid located at the

Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter in Gloucester.

I hear everyone talking about the Winter Ball on February 9 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Cruiseport Gloucester, Six Row Square, Gloucester.   Check our website at CapeAnnAnimalAid.com for details!

I won’t be at the Winter Ball, I am looking forward to becoming a couch potato!

DRIVEN, the new show at Flatrocks Gallery, focuses on the obsessive aspect of the creative process – the urge to work and rework an idea or an image until its possibilities have been exhausted. In the new works of Jon Sarkin (mixed media), Paul Cary Goldberg (photographs) and Ken Riaf (assemblage) we see three artists responding with grace and wit to a fixation.

Please join us for an artists’ reception on January 19th 6-8pm.

DRIVEN will be on view through February 24th.  Open Thurs-Sun 12-5pm and by apt. 978-879-4683

Video- HI-Tech Pain Free Dentistry At Harbor Cove Dental THIS IS MY DENTIST.

Gloucester MA Dentistry Practice.

When was the last time you had fun at your dentist office?

No MUZAK up in this mother.  They’re playing classic hits, the dentist chairs have use controlled heated and massage elements, you don’t have to put that nasty mold in your mouth with the gooey stuff making you want to gag when they take x-rays or making molds, they do their stuff with the latest digital imaging.

The staff is young, hip and friendly.  The décor is straight out of Restoration Hardware.  The place is straight buttah.  Check them out unless you prefer old school dentistry and directly correlate how much pain you have to endure with the level of dental care you receive.

I can’t say enough about Dr Leif and his staff.

“Don’t blame me for the 80’s Allen” – Jon Butcher

That was one several brilliant quotes from  Jon Butcher when he was a guest on Local Music Seen with Allen Estes.  The full 30 minute show premieres tomorrow at 6:30pm on Cape Ann TV Channel 12 and is full of fascinating stories, insights about songwriting, a great new song by Allen Estes and 3 excellent songs by one of Boston’s biggest rock stars from the 1980s.  Here’s an example of why you don’t want to miss this show:

You can see Jon Butcher with James Montgomery, Charlie Farren & David Hull this Friday, Jan 18 at Shalin Liu.  There are a few seats left.  Get tickets here.  You don’t want to miss this show either.

So what do you think Jon meant when he said, “Don’t blame me for the 80’s Allen” …

Check Out My $1.81 Bottle of Water From Dunkies

*What a tremendous value.

I suppose I should add that the mistake was mine for not checking to see how much they were charging. If they can get $1.81 for a bottle of water and there are enough people like me who are too stupid to check the price then it’s not their fault, it’s mine.
