BUOYS DECORATED BY ARTISTS OF ALL AGES

Join us for our 5th Annual Buoy Auction! We have lots of great buoys painted by kids, as well as buoys by local artists, like this one byJeff Weaver. Jeff’s buoy will be included in the silent auction. Some kids’ buoys are going to be included in the live auction, others can be purchased at a flat price. There will be live music and kids’ activities at the event as well. Come enjoy food, socializing, and the excitement of a live auction! It will be a great time for all.

A couple of weeks ago we warned you (in this post) about waiting until the last minute to get tickets to Chelsea Berry’s triumphant return to Shalin Liu with her new band, performing songs from her new CD.
Well, Chelsea decided to give all you procrastinators a second chance by offering a second show on Friday, February 8 at 8pm (the Saturday, Feb 9 show is sold out) and remember, you heard it here on GMG first! The Dejas will open this show with their 4 piece band just like the Saturday show.
Now, don’t screw this up and think you can just sit there and procrastinate some more. This show was just announced so there are still good seats left (clicks on this link to get some). But they won’t last long.
Just in case you missed Chelsea opening for Chris Isaak at North Shore Music Theatre with her band last June, here’s a taste of what you can expect next month in a much more intimate setting:
Don’t let today’s snow (which is now melting) dampen your entertainment for the evening. There are excellent live music choices tonight. See the complete lineup here.
Right now I count 10 webcams live-
Harborview Inn, Blue Shutters, Bass Rocks Ocean Inn, Wonson Cove’s North Shore Kid Cam, Gloucester Quilter Harbor Cam, Gardy Winchester’s East Gloucester Harbor Cam, Bluefish Property Motif Number 1 Rockport Cam, 7 Seas Whale Watch, Maritime Gloucester. and Ryan and Wood Cam.

William Grillo has a show of beautiful paintings in the lobby at Addison Gilbert hospital!
Here’s a closeup detail of one of them:
All of the paintings are well worth looking at, and are often instantly recognizable local places.
My name is Duke! I actually came to the shelter by mistake. I was an outdoor barn cat and was mistaken for a stray. It was decided because of my ear that I should become an indoor cat. I have a unique ear that they call a cauliflower ear. The condition was caused by an ear infection that has now cleared up. I am a friendly guy who likes people better than horses, and now I am looking for a nice warm home and family to love me. I will need to have my ear checked to keep me in top notch shape. If you would like to meet me, please stop by the Cape Ann Animal Aid located at the
Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter in Gloucester.
I hear everyone talking about the Winter Ball on February 9 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Cruiseport Gloucester, Six Row Square, Gloucester. Check our website at CapeAnnAnimalAid.com for details!
I won’t be at the Winter Ball, I am looking forward to becoming a couch potato!
Saw one of these on a car up at the MAC.

I fully endorse the self feeling of boobies to detect early on signs of breast cancer.
