Tuesday February 18th 2014 Cape Ann Weather Update !
As of last nights forecast , this event for midday into early evening looks very minor with nuisance snows 1-2″ inches for our viewing area .. Storm is weak and most moisture remains to our North ! Se winds will limit snow amounts . And make it tough to stick on roadways . Even a mix or change to rain is possible , so again no big event ! More weather on Wednesday .. It speaks volumes to be voted number 1 after only one year. I mean, there are dentist practices that have been open for decades so to claim this honor you know you have to be doing something right.
And when I tell you that these very words came out of both my daughters’ mouths “I can’t wait to go to the dentist.”
I took a double take. Say what? A child that WANTS to go to the dentist? What is this, bizzarro world where up is down and left is right?

Gloucester’s Feast of Saint Joseph Film Project Website Launch
You may recall that last year on Saint Joseph’s Day, as well as during the nine day novena leading up to the Feast, we began filming the community-wide project, Gloucester’s Feast of Saint Joseph. My original hope was to have completed the doucmentary and release it to the community on Saint Joseph’s Day 2014. There are, however, several very important elements missing, and they can only be filmed during the days leading up to Saint Joseph’s Day. In lieu of presenting the finished film on St. Joseph’s Day, March 19th, 2014, we will instead be releasing a short 5-minute film trailer. Stay tuned for more details!
My most heartfelt thanks goes to all the families who have so far contributed to make this a very special film. If you would like to participate in creating Gloucester’s Feast of Saint Joseph ~ A Community Film Project, please contact the director, Kim Smith, at kimsmithdesigns@hotmail.com. EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church is pleased to announce the eighth in a monthly series called Music & Meditation in the Meetinghouse (MMM) that offers Cape Ann residents and visitors a unique combination of beautiful music and relaxing meditation. It is held in the candle-lit sanctuary of the historic 1806 Meetinghouse, Gloucester’s oldest standing church.
The January event features meditation leader Laurie Ure and balladeer Gerry Ryan. There will be a collation with light refreshments afterwards in the church’s Entrance House, giving participants the opportunity to meet the leaders and each other in a convivial atmosphere. The Sanctuary is accessible for persons with disabilities via the side entrance at 10 Church Street. This is a non-religious event, a free-will offering is requested, and everyone is welcome. Spicy Italian Sausage Pepper & Onion Bow Tie Pasta
I created this recipe one night while in the middle of making a batch of my homemade sausage. With a kitchen full of hungry family waiting to be fed, and 2 giant bowls of fixed sausage meat waiting to be stuffed into soaking casings, I decided to halt sausage production and feed the family. Using what I had on hand, I threw together this delicious pasta dish in less than 30 minutes and resumed production. Although I may have used my own homemade sausage meat to create this recipe, it can easily be duplicated by using any “Sweet Italian” sausage meat. For those living close to Gloucester, I highly recommend buying Trupiano’s Italian Sausage sold at The Cave on Main Street. The Cave regularly carries Sweet Italian “Trupiano’s Italian Sausage”, and Trupiano’s “Tomato Parsley & Cheese” variety can be specially pre-ordered by calling a few days in advance.
