7 Central presents ~ The Dejas Saturday November 8, 2014 9-12 midnight
I wanted to give you a heads-up about a great musical act performing at 7 Central this Saturday night from 9 to midnight.
I hope you’ll drop in and support this duo and give them a nice Manch-Vegas-by-the-Sea welcome. I’m very excited to have them come play. I have been speaking to them about doing so – literally for 2 and a half years – and this is the first time we have pulled it together.
Have a great weekend.

Eight Year Old Boy Kick-Starts An Extraordinary Educational Series
Nubar Alexanian submits-
Captain Tom Ellis of the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon and Nubar Alexanian of Walker Creek Media are working together to bring to fruition an amazing young boy’s vision: a science educational series created by and starring a kid. The series, “Science All Around Us,” will be produced right here in Gloucester, and so far it looks beautiful. Take a look at their Kickstarter campaign.
This new friend of Captain Tom believes that science doesn’t only need to be taught by adults. Kids can (and should) teach other kids too! Right now, this amazing project needs your help. They’ve got the talent, the passion, the powerful idea and all they need are the resources to make it happen. Even if you can’t donate, check out Collin’s answer to his father’s question about why we should care about science by clicking on the questions below. It will convince you this is a project that matters.![]()

PLEASE REMEMBER to “like” this project on their Facebook and follow them on @SciAllAroundUs Twitter, where they’re posting hilarious facts and articles daily.

“The Brother Benjamin Chapter of the National Honor Society is named in honor of Brother Benjamin, CFX, the school’s first headmaster, who served from 1907 until 1917.
The National Honor Society creates an enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulates a desire to render service, promotes worthy leadership, and encourages the development of character in students of St John’s Preparatory School.

Madhouse Today…
I swear you couldn’t dream up this scene to paint it just the way it was at that very moment when I snapped the shot in between offloading boats.
You couldn’t have dreamed up the clouds or the sun breaking through at just the right angle to lead straight down the harbor to our dock. You couldn’t have dreamed up the lobster boats waiting to offload at just the right perpendicular locations to frame the shot on either side of the lobster boat’s mast that was tied up at the dock. Picture perfect.
Sometimes amid the madness you don’t really have time to take it all in because you’re ass deep in work but that one capture you managed to fire off brings it all back and reminds you that yes indeed, it wasn’t a dream.
