The set-up

Country style boneless pork ribs hit the kettle.  I used hickory chunks and cherry chips, charcoal set up- snake method and tossed the water pan from the Western Mountain Smoker to keep the ribs from getting dried out.

Once they hit 150 internal I pulled them off, cut them up into cubes and reapplied the rub.  Melted a stick of butter and mixed it with Texas Pete hot sauce and coated them before I reapplied the rub.

People who meet me can’t help but wonder, “what is such an adorable young lady still doing single?” Well I’ve been thinking the same exact thing! I was brought in by a local rescue group who thought I was too sweet to be living the rest of my days on the streets.  So here I am, waiting to find a family to take me home! I like enjoying all aspects of life.  I am good at playing, eating, relaxing, getting and giving attention and affection.  All of the important things! Do I sound like a good match for you and your family?

    • If You Couldn’t Go Another Second Without a Coffee, Which Line Would You Get Into?

    I was traveling from Boston to Las Vegas the other day and passed on a coffee at 6:30 a.m. when leaving “the island” because I wanted to savor a large hot coffee while sitting at the airport.

    This is what I found waiting for me when we finally checked in, checked our bags, cleared security, and found our gate.

    Such a bummer.

    Which line would you get in if you were about to depart for a cross-county flight and hadn’t had a coffee yet?

Well the Cape Ann Museum can help you with that and if you live on Cape Ann the Museum is free for the month of January! Just to be clear, that means Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester-by-the-Sea and Essex residents are are all welcome to visit for free, starting in just four days. (The CAM is closed New Year’s Day)

    PAWTUCKAWAY STATE PARK ADVENTURE

    Only about an hour and half northwest of Cape Ann, Liv, Matt and Alex had a great time hiking at Pawtuckaway State Park yesterday. Located in southeastern New Hampshire, the park is named for Pawtuckaway Lake and Pawtuckaway Mountains, which are a circular rocky range that form the outline of an ancient volcanic ring dike dating from the Cretaceaous era.

    There are a number of trails in varying in length. They opted for the 11 mile route which included several summits.549NOTICEMAP

    Pawtuckaway State Park lies within the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion that also includes Cape Ann.
