HURRICANE NICOLE BRINGS GINORMOUS ENORMOUS LOBSTER!
While night fishing off the coast of Bermuda, and in the wake of Hurricane Nicole, the charter vessel Sanctuary Marine Bermuda accidentally captured a 14 pound Spiny Lobster. The ginormous crustacean was later released. The largest lobster recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records was 44 pounds. If this is what a 14 pound lobster looks like, can you image a 44 pound lobster?!?

Pet of the Week-Sapphira

Sapphira here! Pleased to meet you! I was brought to the shelter along with my siblings, Hazel and Lily, because our owner was moving and was no long able to keep us.
I have lived with other cats and a Chihuahua and did not mind their company. I have always been an indoor cat and would prefer to be kept safe inside your home. I am a bit shy but I do enjoy petting every once and a while. I have not lived with children before so I am looking for home a home with older children (10 years or older).
Are you ready to take me home? Then stop by and visit me today! For information on all of the animals available at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter please go to our website: capeannanimalaid.org.
Marini Farm
We had a school event at Marini Farm in Ipswich over the weekend. Good peeps over there. We had a really fun afternoon. The boys hit all of the attractions that the farm has to offer, we got lost in the corn maize, ate some cider donuts, and shopped at the farm stand. A beautiful ride home through Ipswich and Essex was a perfect way to end the afternoon. Well, a pumpkin beer with a cinnamon rim would have really been the perfect way to end the afternoon, but we left the house at 7:15 in the morning for a hockey game in Stoneham and had to get home to take care of the pups.

GOOD MORNING GLOUCESTER BROUGHT TO YOU BY LOBSTER COVE!
HUGE THANK YOU TO ANGELA MARSHALL!!!
I am simply crazy about this beautiful alpaca scarf given to me by Angela Marshall and have been wearing it nonstop for the three days (although with temperatures predicted in the seventies this week, I may have to take a brief break). I love stopping by to visit Angela and the gift was wholly unexpected, taking me quite off guard.
These super soft and warm scarves come in an assortment of lovely colors and are the perfect size–not too big that they are cumbersome, and not too small to be ineffective. Stop by to visit Angie’s Alpacas and see for yourself her wonderful selection of alpaca yarn (shorn from Cape Ann’s very own alpacas) along with a collection of alpaca hats, mittens, socks, and many more treasures.
Frankie posing for her glamour shot during magic hour
Presently, Angie’s Alpacas is open by appointment. Call 978-729-7180 or email Angela at Angiez65@hotmail.com. As the shop becomes established, so too will the hours. A website and Facebook page, created by Angela’s daughter Jenn, are underway. Angie’s Alpacas is located at Marshall’s Farm, 148 Concord Street, Gloucester.
New grazing area for the alpacas, and they love it!

Grand Prix Gloucester
On Sunday I volunteered as a Road Marshall at the Cycle Cross at Stage Fort Park. If you have never gone you are missing a great time. The Women, Men and children who do this grueling race are very inspirational. As a Road Marshall I can tell you that the athletes are very grateful for the support and for the volunteers. Another great time.
