These wonderful nest boxes also attract Black-capped chickadees, Tufted Titmice, House Wrens, and woodpeckers. A short slide presentation will introduce families to the natural history and behavior of birds in Massachusetts, and we’ll discuss where and how to place your nest box. Dress for the weather because we will take a short walk to look and listen for bluebirds.

Sharon Bo Abrams shares –
ABBA’s hits tell the hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. This sunny and funny tale unfolds on a Greek island paradise. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.
This is an enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship, (also inappropriate dialogue, and questionable moral content) but for sure an unforgettable show. The large cast, non-stop laughs and explosive dance numbers combine to make Mamma Mia! a guaranteed smash hit.
A mother. A daughter. Three possible dads. Hours of Abba Songs?
You should come.
You should bring other people.
Maybe people ages 10 and up unless they are already seasoned Mamma Mia fans.

The internationally acclaimed a cappella choir Skylark will perform a program called ‘Masterpiece’ at 7:00pm with a 6:00pm pre-concert talk on Friday, April 5th in the historic (1806) Gloucester Meetinghouse at the corner of Middle and Church Streets. Skylark’s program will pair a specific piece of art with a particular musical composition from the same time period. Beginning with watercolors and music by Felix Mendelssohn and Hugo Alfvén, the program will progress through the impressionists Renoir and Monet – paired with music by Ravel and Debussy – to art and music of good friends Pablo Picasso and Francis Poulenc.
From Picasso, Skylark will introduce audiences to the…

My sister-in-law Amy and her husband Arnold were visiting over the weekend. Arnold shared a photo from a recent trip that they took to Dunrobin Castle, which is just north of the villages of Golspie and Dornoch in the Northern Highlands. While at the castle they went to a falconry exhibition where Arnold captured a photo of the owl flying over the audience’s heads. I’m wondering if this is perhaps the Eurasian Eagle Owl.

What a wonderful time I had yesterday at the Grand Opening of Mermaid Tales. Lourie the owner and her staff was so fun and attentive. Lourie actually gave me a little gift bag. This shop is next to Walgreens, it used to be Sadie Greens. Her inventory is fun and you can find great gifts for others and yourself.
