We have visited the Adirondack Mountains in N.Y. on a regular basis since 1972. Over the years, I scaled 38 of the 46 Adirondack peaks with summits over 4,000 feet. Most of my climbing was with my son and my brother-in law. My climbing days are over, but I’m still drawn to the region to enjoy the majesty of the mountains, its intricate history and its gleaming waterways. These photos were taken a few weeks ago when we enjoyed a wonderful family reunion in the Saranac Lake area of the Adirondack State Park.
Wonderfully fun and funny, heartfelt, quirky, original, and fabulous musicians all, Guster headlined Gloucester’s first Riverfest Seaside Music Festival. My friend Jill Whitney Armstrong writes that “this is one exhibit not to be missed, with tents in the yard, interactive augmented reality, a magical live painter, free reiki and more! Plus David Robinson has work in the show – a communal atmosphere.”
I am looking forward to attending and hope to see you there!

I hope you enjoyed the glorious weekend. It was our first School Festival and we were not disappointed. We had family time, outdoor time, podcast time and volunteer time. Some scenes from the busy boulevard Sunday morning:
We also went to Magnolia to see what we could see for the race Sunday morning:
