Good Morning Gloucester

Struggling today to figure out whether my internet and computer shutting on and off all day are a computer or power problem. I met a ‘laughing’ fox at dawn this morning and hopefully can post those photos tomorrow. In the meantime, I grabbed this Instagram link of Charlotte jumping for joy over her new hat 🙂

The prolific artist Sam Nigro turns oars and rudders everyday into beautiful pieces of art. Many businesses and homes over the years have been recipients of oars to hang and display.

He took a picture of the Sylvina W. Beal leaving Gloucester for rehabilitation in Essex and turned it into this beautiful piece of art painted on an antique rudder.

The Schooner Sylvina W. Beal is the oldest existing auxiliary knockabout fishing Schooner in North America. She was built in 1911 in the Adams Yard in Boothbay, Maine. She currently sits in the creek in Essex as Harold Burnham prepares the drawing and wood required for her rehabilitation. Donate to the rehabilitation of Sylvina W Beal, LLC, P.O. We had the pleasure of visiting Oliver’s Harbor for our Valentine’s Day dinner. So happy to see them back in the game! We did not experience normal new-opening difficulties. My steak was awesome and GMG Jimmy had sushi he enjoyed. Great evening. Thank you Hannah and Scott. We are looking forward to a return visit.
